Alexander Mosquera (AM)  a Washington, D.C. based artist, was raised in the lush rainforest of Colombia., he spent his days marveling at the riot of colors, textures, and sounds that surrounded him. The magic realism of his childhood played a key role in shaping his desire to represent the natural world through his art

I embrace a multitude of mediums, from the vibrant hues of acrylics to the bold strokes of crayons. Conventional materials on canvas are just the tip of the iceberg for me. I believe that working within the boundaries of a single medium stifles my creativity. Each new idea deserves its own artistic expression, and I revel in the opportunity to bring them to life through a variety of mediums
